Plants terrestrial or lithophytic. Rhizome short, creeping to suberect, with hairs and scales, irregularly laterally branched, often stoloniferous. Fronds tufted, herbaceous to coriaceous, 2-3-pinnatifid, not or slightly dimorphic, venation free. Sporangia near the vein endings, submarginal on almost unmodified pinnae, partly covered by the reflexed margin of the ultimate segments in two rows on each segment. Derivation of name: Matthias Heinrich Mohr was a German botanist and professor of philosophy at the University of Kiel. Worldwide: 7 species in tropical and South Africa DRC: 3 taxa. |
