Description of the genus

Mainly separated from the genus Jasminum by the flower colour being yellow.

Derivation of name: Chrysojasminum: yellow jasmine.

Worldwide: 10 species; 8 in Mediterranean Europe, North Africa and Asia; 2 in Tropical Africa.
