Species details:

Note: Unusual, largely black and white Satyrid with a strong, often high-level flight. Both flight and looks resemble that of a pierid butterfly. Flying all year.
Distribution: This variety is endemic to the forest areas of the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe, where it is locally common, particularly in Vumba.
