Date of birth: 30 Aug 1907 Date of death: 20 Apr 1983 BiographyBelgian water and forestry engineer in 1928, agricultural colonial engineer in 1935 from the Catholic University of Louvain; professor of botany in Louvain from 1967. Collected in Belgium and 1931 - 1950 in the Congo, published the 'Flore du Congo Belge et du Ruanda-Urundi' and worked (in it) with the author → Raymond Boutique on the Mimosaceae and Caesalpiniaceae. His collections of vascular plants are kept in BR, YBI. |
