Description:
Large evergreen tree. Leaves with leaflets in 5-8 pairs; leaflets up to 10 × 4 cm, oblong-elliptic. slightly curved backwards, glossy above; apex shortly and bluntly acuminate. Petals 2.5-3.5 mm, hooded, white. Capsule up to 5.5 × 2 cm, separating from the apex.

Notes:
Derivation of specific name: swynnertonii: named after Charles Francis Massey Swynnerton (1877-1938), well-known naturalist, who first recorded and collected many species of flora and fauna in and around the Chirinda Forest
