| Description: |
Leaves more than 7 mm wide, margins ciliate. Flowers generally more than 2 per umbel; zygomorphic, perianth tube curved at anthesis, the segments connivent into a funnel or bell, with a purplish or red keel; stamens declinate, anthers yellowish, greyish or brownish. Fruits glossy, bright yellow or orange. Seeds 3-13, glabrous,pale green, with a rough greyish outer covering. |

| Notes: | Specimens in the images from DR Congo were identified as C. aurantiacum by Mike Bingham but as this species has not been listed for DR Congo in any literature the status needs further confirmation. |
