Description:
Small tree to 1-7 m tall, or scrambling shrub climbing to 10 m., deciduous, with white, yellow or clear latex. Inflorescences on leafless branches, 1-12 flowered; corolla lobes gradually narrowing into the pendulous tails; lobes (including the tails) 94-180 mm long. Follicles shaggy.

Habitat: In miombo woodlans, often on rocky outcrops.
Altitude range: (metres) 650 - 1000 m

Worldwide distribution: DR Congo, Tanzania and Zambia.
