| Description: |
Perennial herb, spreading by long hairy stolons. It is very similar to Alchemilla kiwuensis. In that species the leaves often have more than 7 lobes, which are more deeply cut and thus longer than broad. The leaves normally form a persistent basal rosette. A. cryptantha has 5 - 7 lobes per leaf, which are as wide as long and are borne along the stolons. They may form a basal rosette when plants are very young. The flowers are axillary, small and inconspicuous, usually hidden by the stipules. |
