Shrubby herbs up to c. 1.5 m tall, young branches pubescent. Leaves ovate-elliptic to elliptic, 4.5–15 cm long, pubescent when young along veins beneath and sometimes along midrib above; petioles 5–55 mm long, pubescent above. Inflorescences in racemes up to 15 cm long in fruit. Sepals broadly elliptic to obovate, 1.5–2 mm long in flower, hairless, green or white, often tinged pink. Stamens 4, approximately same length as sepals. Fruit 2.0–2.5 mm in diameter, ridged around margin. |
