Notes: | There appears to be some taxonomic confusion since POWO has both S. scandens and S. tomentosa as accepted names and the latter is the name used by Troupin in Flore du Rwanda (Volume 1, 98: 251). However, Plants of the World has S. tomentosa as an unchecked name and only uses S. scandens as accepted. Fischer & Killmann in Plants of Nyungwe (2008: 712) also list S. scandens as the species in region. It is uncertain whether there are one or 2 species in the region, which occur in DR Congo and how they are separated. |
