Species details:

Note: Flies from September to April. Common in grassland from sea level to mountainous areas up to 2000m. Distinguished from Cupidopsis jobatus by its larger size and the absence of the tail on the hindwing.
Distribution: Throughout most of tropical Africa and South Africa except the Karoo and Southwestern Cape. Also in Madagascar.
