Hairless shrub or tree up to 15 m tall but usually smaller. Leaves elliptic, oblong or obovate, 7-18 cm long, yellow-green, smooth but with fine net-veining visible against the light. Inflorescences supra-axillary, compact, several flowered. Peduncle stout, flattened, thickened above. Calyx tube 0.7-1.5 mm. Corolla white, sweet-scented. Fruit 5-6 mm long, sessile, dark purple when ripe. |
