Rhizome erect, ± 5 mm diameter; rhizome scales dark brown, flat and narrow, tapering from the base to a sharp tip, entire, 8–13 mm long. Fronds tufted, not proliferous. Stipe blackish grey, 7–20 cm long, with sparse subulate dark brown scales. Lamina lanceolate in outline, 17–30 x 5–9 cm, pinnate, basal pinnae not reduced, terminal pinna similar to others. Pinnae in 5–11 pairs, (sub)opposite, fan-shaped, 3–4 x 4–6 cm, margin entire, apical margin irregularly toothed, petiolate, veins flabellate, surfaces with thread-like slightly lobed black scales. Sori many, along the veins, linear, 18–30 mm long, opening in both directions, not reaching the margin; indusium membranous, entire, ± 0.3 mm wide. |
